As students wrapped up their first period classes Thursday morning, a training helicopter made an emergency landing in the Robert Gray Middle School baseball field.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, the helicopter was from Hillsboro Aviation and made the emergency landing after the pilot and co-pilot noticed an engine warning light.

The co-pilot said they had been en route to Troutdale.

Robert Gray has played landing bay before: a single-engine plane made an emergency landing there in October 2010.
